Growing up in Sharon, Massachusetts, brothers Ami, Yoni, and Meir Weinberg have been playing music since they were children in the 1980s. While living in New York in 2001, the brothers formed the band Mizrach and put out their first album, Mizrach, in 2002. After a long hiatus (longer than Guns n' Roses' hiatus), the band is back with a new album, K'Kedem, which is expected to be released in late 2018 or early 2019.

Mizrach's musical style is a mixture of folk-influenced rock and traditional Jewish power ballads. Mizrach takes much of their inspiration from traditional Jewish music, such as Shlomo Carlebach and Dveykus, yet incorporates a uniquely modern and original flavor. Mizrach's musical style is also heavily influenced by their favorite rock bands Rush, Bon Jovi, Tom Petty, U2, Vertical Horizon, Guster, and countless others.
